DIFERENCIACIÓN TERRITORIAL CON BASE EN INDICADORES SOCIALES. CASO DE LA SUB-ZONA METROPOLITANA-APIZACO, MÉXICO.
La zona metropolitana de estudio es un territorio inmerso en un proceso de
urbanización intensa, y como todo proceso de este tipo trae consigo en lo general,
mayor disponibilidad y acceso a servicios básicos, pero al mismo tiempo, no
resuelve rezagos en varios rubros, lo que afecta negativamente la calidad de vida.
El objetivo planteado en este trabajo, consiste en analizar las condiciones de vida
de la población de los municipios que conforman la franja metropolitana de
Apizaco, denominada para estos fines, como Sub-Zona Metropolitana-Apizaco y
que forma parte de la Zona Metropolitana Tlaxcala-Apizaco. El abordaje
metodológico se hizo tomando algunos indicadores sociales para construir
Cocientes de Localización o Índices de Concentración Relativa, lo cual arrojó
como resultados una marcada diferenciación en la población en cuanto a sus
condiciones de vida. De ello, se puede concluir que los procesos de urbanización
están distantes de lograr equidad y equilibrio en los territorios, situación que se
puede explicar desde diversas concepciones y apreciaciones desde el ámbito
público, aunque no únicamente, sino también desde el análisis de la dinámica de
los mercados en lo general.

Abstract:
The metropolitan study area is a territory immersed in a process of intense
urbanization, and as any process of this type generally brings with it, greater
availability and access to basic services, but at the same time, it does not resolve
lags in various areas, which that negatively affects the quality of life. The objective
set forth in this work is to analyze the living conditions of the population of the
municipalities that make up the metropolitan area of Apizaco, which for the
purposes of this work is called the Sub-Metropolitan Area-Apizaco and which is
part of the Tlaxcala-Apizaco Metropolitan Area. The methodological approach was
made by taking some social indicators to build Location Quotients or Relative
Concentration Indices, which yielded as results a marked differentiation in thepopulation in terms of their living conditions. From this, it can be concluded that the
urbanization processes are far from achieving equity and balance in the territories,
a situation that can be explained from different conceptions and appreciations from
the public sphere, although not only, but also from the analysis of the dynamics of
markets in general.
