CONCEPÇÃO E INSTRUMENTALIDADE DO ASSISTENTE SOCIAL NA PERSPECTIVA DO CUIDADO COM FAMILIA
Constituição Federal de 1988 abre
um novo debate nas políticas sociais trazendo
a família como elemento de destaque no
sistema de proteção social. Observa-se a
família em seu protagonismo nas diferentes
políticas sociais como elemento de referência.
A valorização da família no cenário das políticas
sociais tanto de iniciativa pública como privada,
sinalizam a necessidade de se repensar o
seu papel na relação Estado – Sociedade, e o
tratamento dado a ela no contexto do trabalho
do assistente social. O assistente social é
um dos profissionais com destacado papel na
abordagem de famílias no cotidiano de seu
trabalho. O presente artigo pretende abrir uma
discussão sobre as concepções que qualificam
o assistente social para o trabalho com famílias,
a compreensão no universo desta abordagem,
a concepção elaborada e sobre a qual sustenta
as ações junto a família, focando no cuidado
com a família no sistema de proteção social.

Abstract:
Federal Constitution of 1988
opens a new debate in social policies bringing
the family as a prominent element in the social
protection system. It is observed the family in
its protagonism in the different social policies
as an element of reference. The valorization of
the family in the scenario of social policies of
both public and private initiative signaled the
need to rethink their role in the State - Society
relationship and the treatment given to it in
the context of the social worker ‘s work. The
social worker is one of the professionals with
outstanding role in approaching families in the
daily life of their work. This article intends to open
a discussion about the conceptions that qualify
the social worker for working with families, the
understanding in the universe of this approach,
the elaborate conception and on which supports the actions with the family, focusing on
the care with the family in the system protection.
