COMPOSTO ORGÂNICO DE ALCATRÃO VEGETAL NA PRODUÇÃO DE ALFACE
O alcatrão vegetal é um subproduto obtido no processo de produção de carvão vegetal e é considerado até então um contaminante ambiental com potencial de contaminação do solo e lençol freático quando lixiviado. Uma possibilidade encontrada para o tratamento desses resíduos foi à biodegradação microbiana pela compostagem. Objetivou-se com este trabalho avaliar o uso do composto orgânico com alcatrão vegetal na produção de alface. As doses utilizadas foram 0, 25, 50, 75 e 100 t ha-1 de composto orgânico com alcatrão vegetal e as mesmas doses de esterco bovino. O composto orgânico com alcatrão vegetal pode ser usado como fertilizante orgânico na cultura da alface apresentado efeito similar ao esterco bovino. A dose média de 91,46 t ha-1 de composto orgânico com alcatrão vegetal proporcionou a máxima produção no cultivo de alface. A compostagem mostrou-se uma estratégia para destinação adequada do alcatrão vegetal.

Abstract:
Vegetable tar is a by-product obtained in the charcoal production process and is considered to be an environmental contaminant with potential for soil contamination and groundwater when leached. One possibility found for the treatment of these residues was microbial biodegradation through composting. The objective of this work was to evaluate the use of organic compost with vegetable tar in the production of lettuce. The doses used were 0, 25, 50, 75 e 100 t ha-1 of organic compost with vegetable tar and the same doses of bovine manure. The organic compost with vegetable tar can be used as an organic fertilizer in lettuce culture, with an effect similar to bovine manure. The average dose of 91,46 t ha-1 of organic compost with vegetable tar provided the maximum production in the cultivation of lettuce. Composting proved to be a strategy for the proper destination of vegetable tar.
