COMPONENTES CURRÍCULARES PARA A FORMAÇÃO EM SAÚDE MENTAL NA GRADUAÇÃO EM ENFERMAGEM EM ALAGOAS
Os componentes curriculares de saúde mental são unidades dentro da matriz curricular da graduação em enfermagem responsáveis por desenvolver os futuros enfermeiros para a assistência das pessoas com transtornos mentais ou em sofrimento mental. Esses componentes possuem características estruturais distintas até mesmo entre instituições de um mesmo cenário local. Desta forma, o objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar as características dos componentes curriculares utilizados para a formação em saúde mental na graduação de enfermagem em Alagoas, Brasil. Trata-se de um trabalho descritivo realizado com os 23 três cursos de graduação em enfermagem ofertados pelas instituições de ensino superior do estado. Os dados foram sistematizados e analisados por meio da análise descritiva. Com relação aos 23 cursos no estado: todos com habilitação em bacharelado; duração de 05 anos (78%) ou 04 anos (22%); privados (87%) ou públicos (13%); ofertados na modalidade presencial (78%) e EAD (22%); carga horária total do curso de 4.000 ou mais horas. Com relação aos componentes curriculares de saúde mental: foram identificadas 21 disciplinas de saúde mental; a maioria (70%) apresenta apenas um componente na matriz; 38% não informam a carga horária da disciplina, 33% com 80 horas, 10% com 160 horas, 5% com 90 horas, 5% com 54 horas, 5% com 36 horas e 5% com 30 horas; a nomenclatura diferiu bastante entre os cursos, sendo predominante o termo “saúde mental” (23%); a maioria (43%) não informou o período que ofertam o componente, os demais no 7º período semestral (19%), no 6º (14%), no 8º (10%), no 4° (10%), no 5º (5%). O presente trabalho demonstra que as caracterizas dos componentes curriculares de saúde mental ainda apresenta heterogeneidade e que a grande diferença de carga horária entre os cursos pode impactar na qualidade da formação dos futuros enfermeiros.

The mental health curriculum components are units within the undergraduate nursing curriculum responsible for developing future nurses to assist people with mental disorders or in mental suffering. These components have different structural characteristics even among institutions in the same local scenario. Thus, the objective of this work is to present the characteristics of the curricular components used for training in mental health in undergraduate nursing in Alagoas, Brazil. This is a descriptive work carried out with the 23 three undergraduate nursing courses offered by higher education institutions in the state. Data were systematized and analyzed using descriptive analysis. Regarding the 23 courses in the state: all with a bachelor's degree; duration of 05 years (78%) or 04 years (22%); private (87%) or 03 public (13%); offered in the face-to-face (78%) and distance learning (22%) modality; total course load of 4,000 or more hours. Regarding the mental health curriculum components: 21 mental health subjects were identified; the majority (70%) have only one component in the matrix; 38% do not inform the course load, 33% with 80 hours, 10% with 160 hours, 5% with 90 hours, 5% with 54 hours, 5% with 36 hours and 5% with 30 hours; the nomenclature differed greatly between the courses, with the term “mental health” being predominant (23%); the majority (43%) did not inform the period they offer the component, the others in the 7th semester (19%), in the 6th (14%), in the 8th (10%), in the 4th (10%), in the 5th (5%). The present work demonstrates that the characteristics of the mental health curriculum components are still heterogeneous and that the large difference in workload between courses can impact the quality of training of future nurses.
