COMPLICAÇÃO DA FERIDA OPERATÓRIA DE LIBERAÇÃO DO RETINACULUM DOS FLEXORES
Relatamos um caso de uma paciente do sexo feminino com dor e parestesia na mão direita com evolução há 10 semanas. Foram realizados os devidos exames e feito o diagnóstico de síndrome do túnel do carpo. Paciente foi submetida à cirurgia e evoluiu com infecção do sitio cirúrgico. Apesar de ser uma cirurgia simples, os cuidados básicos de antissepsia e orientações do paciente quanto à higienização da ferida operatória fazem-se necessários para que não haja sequelas incapacitantes.

Abstract:
We report a case of a female patient with pain and paresthesia in her right hand that evolved 10 weeks ago. Proper examinations were performed and the diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome was made. The patient underwent surgery and developed an infection in the surgical site. Despite being a simple surgery, the basic care of antisepsis and guidance of the patient regarding the cleaning of the surgical wound are necessary so that there are no disabling sequelae.
