• Abstract: The present research aims to review the literature from the sociocultural approach on learning and competencies resulting from the participation of psychology students in disciplinary communities of practice. The methodology of the project the methodology of documentary analysis was used where the search, systematization and review of literature is carried out through specialized databases such as Google Scholar, Redalyc, Dialnet, Scielo. Search criteria for analysis categories such as communities of practice, learning, professional competencies, professional identity, professional practices, Psychology, Activity theory were taken into account. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria on the literature search, all types of documents were included that would contribute to the bibliographic analysis on Learning and Competences of Professional Practices in Psychology. Regarding the theoretical references, there was no segmentation, nor years of publication, countries, or discrimination of investigative approaches. The main findings regarding the theoretical review of the 88 articles found 48 have been reviewed, where the category of analysis of learning, skills and professional practices prevails in countries such as Argentina, Colombia, and Spain; Likewise, studies in the field of educational psychology were evidenced with a high index compared to the other fields of psychology. In the review of the literature, it was found that the interest in knowing and deepening the professional practices regarding learning and competences in the training of the psychologist in the undergraduate degree, is not a matter of recent studies, however, the studies found regarding research are scarce.
