Abstract: Seismic migration is a fundamental step in the process of reconstruction of the structural map of the subsoil, based on the information recorded on the surface due to the reflections of the waves when a source disturbs the terrestrial environment. If this medium is dispersive, the energy dissipates what is observed in the seismograms as a loss of amplitude and deformation in the signal. The mathematical models of complex velocity allow to introduce the attenuation term in the wave equation and by means of the extrapolation of fields recover the lost energy as the wave propagates. In this work we compare the results of the migration carried out according to two models of attenuation and their effect on the data.
