CIÊNCIAS HUMANAS E SOCIAIS EM SAÚDE: CONTRIBUIÇÕES À SAÚDE COLETIVA
Para abordar aspectos relacionados ao processo de inserção das Ciências Sociais e Humanas na Saúde Coletiva, foi construído um ensaio teórico a partir da seguinte pergunta: como se deu o processo de constituição do campo das Ciências Sociais e Humanas na Saúde Coletiva? As fontes pesquisadas consistiram em artigos levantados na base de dados LILACS, sendo utilizados na busca os descritores: Ciências Humanas and Saúde. Além disso, foi desenvolvida a leitura de autores e publicações nacionais de referência na área para responder esse questionamento. Após análise dos materiais selecionados, identificamos que grande parte dos estudos em Saúde Coletiva foi influenciado por disciplinas das áreas de ciências sociais e humanas, que ampliaram o “olhar humano e social” nas biociências e na medicina. Apesar disso, essas não ocupam a centralidade devida na Saúde Coletiva. Os fatores relacionados são apontados neste ensaio, destacando-se: a perspectiva produtivista/quantitativista introduzida na Saúde Coletiva pela penetração e o predomínio da lógica mercantilista na Universidade e nas agências de avaliação e fomento; a submissão do ensino universitário, tanto na graduação, quanto na pós-graduação, prioritariamente à pesquisa; trabalhos das áreas de Ciências Sociais e Humanas são vistos como “pouco rigorosos”, isto é, redutíveis à subjetividade, não mensuráveis, portanto, não objetivos, isto tomando por base as concepções e a sinonímia da área biomédica; distorções no uso das metodologias características das Ciências Sociais e Humanas na área da saúde Coletiva; pesquisadores na área das Ciências Sociais e Humanas “stricto sensu” tendem a não referenciar estudos oriundos da Saúde Coletiva; as Ciências Sociais e Humanas têm um modus operandi distinto dos trabalhos produzidos nas áreas biomédicas; dentre os produtos específicos da área deve ser destacado, por sua importância e valor secular na expressão das ciências humanas, o livro, que tem sido desvalorizado pelas agências de pesquisa, em detrimento dos artigos científicos.

Abstract:
To address aspects related to the process of insertion of Social and Human Sciences in Public Health, a theoretical essay was built based on the following question: how did the process of constitution of the field of Social and Human Sciences in Public Health take place? The researched sources consisted of articles collected in the LILACS database, using the descriptors: Human Sciences and Health. The reading of authors and national reference publications in the area was developed to answer this question. After analyzing the selected materials, we identified that most of the studies in Collective Health were influenced by disciplines in social and human sciences, which broadened the “human and social view” in biosciences and medicine. Despite this, these do not occupy the centrality due to Public Health. The related factors are pointed out in this essay, highlighting: the productivist / quantitative perspective introduced in Collective Health by the penetration and predominance of mercantilist logic in the University and in the evaluation and promotion agencies; the submission of university education, both at undergraduate and graduate levels, primarily to research; works in the areas of Social and Human Sciences are seen as “not very rigorous”, that is, reducible to subjectivity, not measurable, therefore, not objective, this based on the conceptions and synonym of the biomedical area; distortions in the use of the characteristic methodologies of Social and Human Sciences in the area of Collective health; researchers in the area of Social and Human Sciences “stricto sensu” tend not to refer to studies from Collective Health; Social and Human Sciences have a modus operandi distinct from the works produced in the biomedical areas; among the specific products in the area, due to its importance and secular value in the expression of the human sciences, the book should be highlighted, which has been devalued by research agencies, to the detriment of scientific articles.
