CENTRO DE TERAPIA INTENSIVA E SERVIÇO SOCIAL: ATUAÇÃO JUNTO À FAMÍLIA DO PACIENTE
No âmbito da internação hospitalar, no Centro de Terapia Intensiva (CTI), cabe ao profissional assistente social o reconhecimento dos direitos dos pacientes, trabalhando no acolhimento das famílias vulnerabilizadas pela situação da internação hospitalar do seu membro. O trabalho tem como objetivo descrever a atuação do assistente social junto à família do paciente internado em CTI. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, com base na análise documental e bibliográfica. O assistente social faz a análise do contexto social em que está inserida a família do paciente, realizando a avaliação socioeconômica, que além dos aspectos relacionados à composição familiar, local de moradia, situação trabalhista e renda, também coleta dados pertinente a religião, formação profissional, cultura, que auxiliam o assistente social na leitura da realidade e na compreensão da dinâmica familiar. Evidencia-se que no cotidiano do CTI, o assistente social se utiliza para o atendimento dos pacientes e suas famílias, da entrevista social, escuta sensível, visita ao leito, abordagens grupais e individuais, orientações sociais, relatório social e encaminhamentos. Socializando informações quanto a bens e serviços prestados pela unidade de saúde, visando à qualidade da assistência prestada ao paciente e a integralidade dos cuidados

Abstract:
In the context of hospitalization, at the Intensive Care Center (CTI), it is up to the professional social worker to recognize the rights of patients, working to welcome families vulnerable by the situation of their member's hospitalization. The work aims to describe the role of the social worker with the family of the patient admitted to the ICU. It is a descriptive study, based on documentary and bibliographic analysis. The social worker analyzes the social context in which the patient's family is inserted, carrying out the socioeconomic assessment, which in addition to aspects related to family composition, place of residence, work situation and income, also collects data relevant to religion, professional training, culture, which assist the social worker in reading reality and understanding family dynamics. It is evident that in the daily life of the ICU, the social worker is used to care for patients and their families, for social interviews, sensitive listening, bed visits, group and individual approaches, social orientations, social reporting and referrals. Socializing information about goods and services provided by the health unit, aiming at the quality of care provided to the patient and comprehensive care.
