CBAI E OS AGENTES DO ENSINO INDUSTRIAL (1946 A 1963)
Este artigo focaliza os agentes que atuaram na direção da Comissão Brasileiro-Americana de Educação Industrial – CBAI durante o período de sua vigência. A CBAI foi um programa de cooperação educacional entre Brasil e EUA que existiu no período de 1946 a 1963 sob a responsabilidade do Ministério da Educação por meio da Diretoria do Ensino Industrial. Era mantida por recursos oriundos de contribuição dos governos brasileiro e anglo-americano e operava sob a direção conjunta de um superintendente, que era o Diretor do Ensino Industrial, e um Chefe da Delegação de especialistas anglo-
americanos. A CBAI promoveu cursos de aperfeiçoamento para professores, no Brasil e nos EUA, traduziu livros e possuía uma editoração que assegurou a disseminação das ideias, ações e propósitos deste órgão, em especial por intermédio de boletins mensais da CBAI, que eram destinados a diretores e professores das escolas industriais da rede federal, e que foram utilizados como fonte desta pesquisa. Todas as ações da CBAI que foram colocadas em práticas tiveram como pivô um agente que garantiu sua execução. Desta forma, cabe verificar a questão acerca de quem foram estes agentes que atuaram na direção da CBAI e o que eles representaram? A trajetória deste artigo busca identificar os principais agentes brasileiros envolvidos na direção da CBAI e de que forma eles propiciaram a disseminação de ideias anglo-americanas no Brasil por meio da CBAI.

Abstract:
This article focuses on the agents who have acted in the direction of the Brazilian-American Committee on Industrial Education - CBAI during the period of its validity. The CBAI was an educational cooperation program between Brazil and the USA that existed in the period from 1946 to 1963 under the responsibility of the Ministry of Education through the industrial education director. It was supported by resources from the Brazilian and Anglo-American governments and operated under the joint direction of a superintendent, who was the Director of Industrial Education, and a Head of Delegation of Anglo-American specialists. The CBAI promoted teacher improvement courses in Brazil and the USA, translated books and had an own editorial which ensured a dissemination of the sector's ideas, actions and resources, in particular through CBAI monthly bulletins, which are intended for directors and teachers of industrial schools of federal network and that were used as source of this research. All the actions of the CBAI that were put in practices had as pivot an agent that guaranteed its execution. In this way, it is necessary to raise the question: who were these agents that acted in the direction of the CBAI and what did they represented? The trajectory of this article seeks to identify the main Brazilian agents involved in the direction of the CBAI and how they facilitated the dissemination of Anglo-American ideas in Brazil through the CBAI.
