BORDADOS ARTESANALES DEL BARRIO DE SAN NICOLÁS, IXMIQUILPAN, HGO., UNA MIRADA AL PASADO
San Nicolás, ubicado en el municipio de Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo, cuenta con una riqueza cultural, entre las más representativas se encuentran su feria patronal, gastronomía (preparación de atole y charape), elaboración de cuelgas, rituales (puntos cardinales) y, sobre todo, sus artesanías con técnica de telar de cintura. Los bordados de San Nicolás, están en riesgo de desaparecer debido a que solo algunas personas de edad adulta son quienes la desarrollan, en la actualidad, los jóvenes y niños no están interesados en aprender esta bella actividad. El presente trabajo aplicó un proceso de investigación cualitativa, utilizando como técnica una entrevista a personas que se dedican a la elaboración de estas artesanías. Se plantea identificar el impacto sociocultural que tiene dentro del Barrio de San Nicolás, el conocimiento, el uso y los bordados artesanales. La información obtenida permitirá fortalecer y preservar el patrimonio cultural intangible de la región.

Abstract:
San Nicolás, located in the municipality of Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo, has a rich culture, one of the most representative are their patron fair, gastronomy (preparation of atole and charape), making hangings, rituals (cardinal points) and, above all, the handcrafts with backstrap loom technique. The embroideries of San Nicolás are at risk of disappearing because only some adults are the ones who develop it, at the moment, young people and children are not interested in learning this beautiful activity. The present work applied a qualitative research process, using as a technique an interview with people who are dedicated to the elaboration of these crafts. It is proposed to identify the sociocultural impact, the knowledge, use and artisan embroidery have them within the Barrio de San Nicolás. The information obtained will strengthen and preserve the intangible cultural heritage of the region.
