BOLSAS DE INICIAÇÃO CIENTÍFICA: CONTRIBUIÇÕES PARA O DESENVOLVIMENTO DE PESQUISA NA ÁREA DA VIGILÂNCIA EPIDEMIOLÓGICA
A notificação de doenças e agravos de notificação compulsória é obrigatória às autoridades e aos profissionais de saúde, pois se constitui em principal ferramenta da Vigilância Epidemiológica para identificar a ocorrência, suspeita ou confirmada, de doença, agravo ou evento de saúde pública. A subnotificação constitui-se em principal dificuldade enfrentada pela área de vigilância, vez que as ações de prevenção e intervenção dependem da qualidade das informações produzidas pelo Sistema Nacional de Vigilância Epidemiológica e que são registradas no Sistema Nacional de Agravos de Notificação (Sinan). Este estudo descreve os resultados das atividades desenvolvidas pelas alunas do Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação em Desenvolvimento Tecnológico e Inovação do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq) e da Bolsa de Iniciação Tecnológica da Universidade Estadual de Goiás (UEG), pertinentes ao projeto de pesquisa intitulado “Desenvolvimento e Validação de Escala para Avaliação do Processo de Notificação de Doenças e Agravos de Notificação Compulsória no Sistema Nacional de Agravos De Notificação (Sinan)”. Adotou-se como metodologia as abordagens de estrutura-processo-resultados e a avaliação voltada para a tomada de decisão. As atividades desenvolvidas pelas Bolsitas foram fundamentais para o alcance dos objetivos do projeto de pesquisa em execução e contribuíram para a inserção das estudantes na área da pesquisa, com reflexos positivos para suas formações.

Abstract:
The notification of diseases and conditions of compulsory notification is mandatory to authorities and health professionals, as it is the main tool of Epidemiological Surveillance to identify the occurrence, suspected or confirmed, of a disease, condition or public health event. Underreporting is the main difficulty faced by the surveillance area, since prevention and intervention actions depend on the quality of the information produced by the National Epidemiological Surveillance System and which are registered in the National System of Notifiable Diseases (Sinan). This study describes the results of the activities developed by the students of the Institutional Program for Initiation Scholarships in Technological Development and Innovation of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and the Technological Initiation Scholarship of the State University of Goiás (UEG), pertinent to the research project entitled "Development and Validation of Scale for Evaluation of the Process of Notification of Diseases and Compulsory Notification Diseases in the National System of Notifiable Diseases (Sinan)". The methodology-framework-process-results approaches and the assessment focused on decision-making were adopted as methodology. The activities carried out by the Scholars were fundamental to the achievement of the objectives of the research project in progress and contributed to the insertion of students in the research area, with positive effects for their training.
