Abstract: Controlling the use of pesticides is essential to combat damage caused to the environment and soil, as well as avoiding numerous problems related to various diseases that have affected human life. An incentive to produce natural foods for consumption brings more benefits to people's health and contributes to the life of the entire planet. By consuming food without the use of pesticides, men would have better health and a willingness to work and live better. This research has the general objective of investigating the knowledge of farmers from Sitio Caldeirão on the consumption of pesticides from food. The research will be both quantitative and qualitative, the qualitative through data collection and the quantitative through the questionnaire applied to farmers. It is expected that the research will bring benefits for farmers to develop important skills, for foods without pesticides and thus enabling the capabilities and knowledge, of each one, thus aiming at the development and possibilities of the population in general.
