BARREIRAS DE PROTEÇÃO EM SISTEMAS DE ESGOTAMENTO SANITÁRIO – UMA EXPERIÊNCIA NA DIRETORIA DE OPERAÇÃO DO INTERIOR DA EMBASA
A boa operação de um SES
representa um desafio na busca da garantia
ambiental e da minimização de riscos para
o meio ambiente e para a saúde humana. A
ferramenta denominada “Barreiras de Proteção
em Sistemas de Esgotamento Sanitário”,
criada pela Diretoria de Operação do Interior
da Empresa Baiana de Água e Saneamento
S.A. (Embasa), permite a identificação de
boas práticas, e a verificação de condições
operacionais, salubres e ambientais num
referido sistema. Após avaliar 22 Sistemas
de Esgotamento Sanitário (SES) nos anos de
2017 e 2018 no interior do Estado, identificouse
que a maior parte dos SES avaliados (12
sistemas) estava abaixo da expectativa, sendo
01 em estado emergencial. No entanto, com
a avaliação dos SES foi possível identificar
os principais problemas e inserir algumas
ações no plano de investimento e custeio para
executar as oportunidades de melhorias em
2018. Outras ações foram executadas ainda em
2017 sem adição de custos operacionais, tais
como elaboração de manuais, procedimentos
operacionais, formulários, treinamentos, etc.

Abstract:
The good operation of an SES
represents a challenge in the search for
environmental guarantee and minimization of
risks to the environment and to human health. The tool called “Barriers of Protection in
Sanitary Sewage Systems”, created by the Internal Operation Directorate of Empresa
Baiana de Água e Saneamento SA (Embasa), allows the identification of good practices
and the verification of operational, health and environmental conditions in said system.
After assessing 22 Sanitary Sewage Systems (SES) in the years 2017 and 2018 in
the interior of the State, it was identified that the majority of the SES evaluated (12
systems) was below the expectation, being 01 in emergency state. However, with the
evaluation of the SES it was possible to identify the main problems and insert some
actions in the investment and costing plan to execute the improvement opportunities in
2018. Other actions were executed in 2017 without adding operational costs, such as
manuals, operating procedures, forms, training, etc.
