Abstract: In the Zócalo or Plaza de la Constitución, various traditional groups commemorated the 699th anniversary of the founding of Mexico City, Tenochtitlan, on July 26, 2024. Thinking about the founding of a city, questioning our existence through omens, or predicting the future of cities through dreams has been practiced throughout history, but today, understanding events with this ancestral wisdom would be a complex matter of dreamlike analysis. The main objective of this work is to analyze the possibility of important events due to special dates related to the solstices and equinoxes through the art of dreaming. The methodology is based on complex thinking, with a qualitative approach using methods such as Urban Ethnography, Semiotics, and Phenomenology. Among the findings, several important insights were discovered regarding the beliefs underlying the conchera dances, relating a distorted history of our ancestors. The conclusions have to do with the resistance and preservation of beliefs transmitted through oral tradition.
