AVALIAÇÃO DO USO DE MENTHA PIPERITA COMO REPELENTE ALTERNATIVO EM CREMES E AROMATIZADORES NO MUNICÍPIO DE CONTAGEM – MG.
Levando-se em consideração o elevado número de pessoas infectadas por doenças transmitidas por insetos, o presente projeto tem por objetivo produzir um repelente a partir do extrato de Mentha piperita testando sua eficiência em cremes e aromatizadores, sendo assim uma possibilidade que não agride o meio ambiente e contribui para o controle de doenças. Os produtos naturais têm o potencial de proporcionar repelência eficiente e mais segura ao homem e ambiente. Logo, é necessário indagar o potencial destas plantas para o controle de insetos. Além disso, analisar seus hábitos e concepções sobre a necessidade do uso de repelentes através da elaboração e aplicação de um questionário em voluntários do Município de Contagem – MG, para investigar o motivo de não utilizarem esta profilaxia, bem como a produção de um creme e aromatizante a base de mentha piperita e a realização dos teste de qualidade do produto e teste de eficácia da ação repelente. O desenvolvimento do trabalho no decorrer do ano ficou comprometido em virtude da pandemia do novo coronavírus que teve como medida profilática a suspensão de atividades escolares.

Abstract:
Taking into account the high number of people infected by diseases transmitted by insects, the present project aims to produce a repellent from the extract of Mentha piperita testing its efficiency in creams and flavorings, thus being a possibility that does not harm the environment environment and contributes to disease control. Natural products have the potential to provide efficient and safer repellency to man and the environment. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the potential of these plants for insect control. In addition, to analyze their habits and conceptions about the need to use repellents through the elaboration and application of a questionnaire in volunteers from the municipality of Contagem - MG, to investigate the reason for not using this prophylaxis, as well as the production of a cream and flavoring based on piperite mentha and carrying out product quality tests and testing the effectiveness of the repellent action. The development of the work throughout the year was compromised due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus that had as a prophylactic measure the suspension of school activities.
