AVALIAÇÃO DE TRATAMENTOS ENDODÔNTICOS NA CLÍNICA INTEGRADA DO CURSO DE GRADUAÇÃO EM ODONTOLOGIA
A avaliação contínua dos tratamentos endodônticos por universitários é necessária para aferir dificuldades, nível de excelência, grau de segurança e proteção dos pacientes. Objetivou-se avaliar a produtividade de alunos da clínica integrada em relação aos tratamentos endodônticos, o grau de complexidade, notas de excelência e a confiabilidade do método de avaliação. Dados de elementos dentários tratados na Clínica Integrada da UNICEPLAC foram obtidos de Fichas de Avaliação (FAs), tabelados em Excel e submetidos à análise estatística utilizando o teste qui-quadrado de Pearson (p<0.05). Através de radiografias, avaliadores observaram a qualidade dos tratamentos realizados pelos alunos e atribuíram graus de 0 a 3. Os dados foram submetidos ao teste KAPPA (p<0.05) para verificação do nível de concordância dos avaliadores. Ambas estatísticas foram realizadas com auxílio do software Stata®, versão 15.1. Dos 562 elementos dentários tratados endodonticamente, observou-se que os procedimentos mais realizados foram para elementos unirradiculares (70%). Para ambos os tratamentos, o grau de excelência atribuído pelos avaliadores variou de 86.2% a 13.7% grau 2 (médio). A partir da análise do índice do Kappa, o grau de concordância dos avaliadores representou qualidade substancial (69,21%). Esse método se mostrou uma ferramenta adequada e que merece ser comparado a outras formas avaliativas.

Abstract:
The continuous evaluation of the endodontic treatments developed by students is necessary to identify difficulties, level of excellence, degree of safety and protection of patients. The objective of this study was to evaluate the student’s endodontic treatments productivity at the integrated dental clinic, degree of complexity, marks of excellence and reliability of the evaluation method. Data of dental elements treated at the Integrated Clinic of UNICEPLAC were obtained from the evaluation records, tabulated in Excel and submitted to statistical analysis using the Pearson chi-square test (p <0.05). Evaluators observed the quality of the treatments performed by the students at radiographies and assigned degrees from 0 to 3. The data were submitted to the KAPPA test (p <0.05) to verify the level of agreement of the evaluators. Both statistics were performed using Stata® software, version 15.1. In a group of 562 dental elements treated endodontically, it was observed that the most performed procedures were single root elements (70%). For both treatments, the degree of excellence attributed by the evaluators ranged from 86.2% to 13.7% grade 2 (mean). From the analysis of the Kappa index, the degree of agreement of the evaluators represented substantial quality (69.21%). This method showed to be an adequate tool to evaluate the dentistry students and deserves to be compared to other evaluation methods.
