AVALIAÇÃO DA PRESSÃO ARTERIAL E DAS MEDIDAS ANTROPOMÉTRICAS DE ADOLESCENTES SECUNDARISTAS
O presente artigo teve por objetivo central avaliar as medidas antropométricas e de pressão arterial dos jovens estudantes do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Maranhão, na cidade de Barra do Corda. Trata-se de um estudo quantitativo e descritivo, com adolescentes entre 13 e 17 anos, com amostra de 155 estudantes. Identificou-se a maioria na faixa etária de 15 anos (41,29%); um total de 53 alunos estavam abaixo do peso e, em contrapartida 20 apresentaram sobrepeso; 14% apresentaram alteração considerável na pressão arterial. Acredita-se assim, que a escola deve manter a proposta de trabalho multiprofissional, com foco na educação em saúde e prevenção de doenças.

Abstract:
The main objective of this article was to evaluate the anthropometric and blood pressure measurements of young students at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Maranhão, in the city of Barra do Corda. This is a quantitative and descriptive study, with adolescents between 13 and 17 years old, with a sample of 155 students. The majority was identified in the 15-year age group (41.29%); a total of 53 students were underweight and, on the other hand, 20 were overweight; 14% had a considerable change in blood pressure. It is believed, therefore, that the school should maintain the proposal of multiprofessional work, with a focus on health education and disease prevention.
