AVALIAÇÃO DA INCAPACIDADE FUNCIONAL DE PESSOAS COM QUEIMADURAS EM UMA UNIDADE DE INTERNAÇÃO HOSPITALAR DE SERGIPE
A queimadura é entendida como o quadro resultante da ação direta ou indireta do calor sobre o organismo humano, constituindo-se em um dos tipos de trauma de maior incidência, sendo resultado em geral de acidentes domésticos ou ocupacionais. A queimadura pode acarretar sequelas funcionais e ocupacionais, que podem ser reversíveis a médio ou longo prazo e causam repercussões na saúde, mas algumas podem perdurar pelo resto da vida, o que pode gerar mudanças na capacidade de realizar fazeres do dia a dia. O presente estudo teve como objetivo avaliar o grau de incapacidade funcional das pessoas que sofreram queimaduras, através de uma pesquisa com uso de um questionário estruturado, para saber informações pessoais e sobre a lesão, e da Medida de Independência Funcional, que averigua o desempenho nas atividades cotidianas. Foram entrevistados e avaliados oito adultos internados na Unidade de Terapia de Queimados do Hospital de Urgências de Sergipe. De acordo com os resultados encontrados, percebeu-se que o domínio de cuidados pessoais foi o mais prejudicado, o que leva à um maior grau de dependência entre os participantes durante a internação hospitalar. Considerando os graus de comprometimento dos sujeitos da pesquisa, faz-se necessário uma atenção voltada para a funcionalidade destes pacientes na internação, o que pode ser alcançado com a inserção do profissional de terapia ocupacional na unidade de terapia de queimados.

Abstract:
Burn is understood as the resulto of direct or indirect action of heat on the human organism, constituing one of the types of trauma of higher incidence, being generally the resulto of domestic or occupational accidents. Burning can lead to functional and occupational sequelae, which can be reversible in the medium or long term and have health repercussions, but some may last for life, which may lead to changes in the ability to perform daily activities. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the degree of functional disability of people who suffered burns, through a survey using a structured questionnaire to know personal and injury information, and the Functional Independence Measure, which ascertains the performance in the patients daily activities. Eight adults admitted to the Burn Therapy Unit of the Emergency Hospital of Sergipe were interviewed and evaluated. According to the results found, it was noticed that the domain of personal care was the most impaired, which leads to a greater degree of dependence among particpants during hospitalization. Considering the degree of impairment of the research subjects, it is necessary to focus on the functionalify of these patients in the hospital, which can be achieved with the insertion of occupational therapy professional in the burn therapy unit.
