AVALIAÇÃO DA ADESÃO À TERAPIA ANTIRRETROVIRAL EM PACIENTES PORTADORES DE HIV/AIDS
Desde o início da década de
80, o mundo foi assolado pelo Vírus da
Imunodeficiência Humana (HIV), tornandose uma das maiores epidemias já registrada,
podendo levar a Síndrome da Imunodeficiência
Adquirida (AIDS). O HIV ataca o sistema
imunológico, atingindo as células hospedeiras,
principalmente os linfócitos T CD4, destruindoas após ampla replicação em seu interior,
causando imunodeficiência e predispondo o
indivíduo a inúmeras infecções oportunistas. A
adesão ao tratamento com antirretrovirais tem
sido um grande desafio na vida dos pacientes
infectados com o vírus. Este estudo tem como
objetivo descobrir os motivos pelo os quais o
paciente vivendo com o vírus tem resistência no
que diz respeito o tratamento e a importância
de uma equipe multiprofissional, destacando
o farmacêutico, para a promoção da saúde
desses indivíduos, proporcionando uma maior
expectativa de vida. Trata-se de um estudo
descritivo de revisão de literatura sobre a adesão
à terapia antirretroviral em pacientes infectados
com HIV/AIDS. Foram totalizados 24 artigos
revisados e divididos em tabelas, onde cada
tabela apresenta as principais características
analisadas e estudadas para a revisão em
diferentes tópicos. Foi possível avaliar o perfil de
pacientes portadores de HIV/Aids e considerar
fatores que dificultam a adesão ao tratamento,
acarretando prejuízo a saúde dos pacientes.

Abstract:
Since the early 1980s, the world has been ravaged by the Human
Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), becoming one of the largest epidemics ever recorded,
leading to Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). HIV attacks the immune
system, striking host cells, especially CD4 T lymphocytes, destroying them after
extensive replication within them, causing immunodeficiency and predisposing
individuals to numerous opportunistic infections. Adherence to antiretroviral treatment
has been a major challenge in the lives of patients infected with the virus. This study
aims to find out the reasons why patients living with the virus have resistance regarding
treatment and the importance of a multidisciplinary team, highlighting the pharmacist,
to promote the health of these individuals, providing a higher expectation of life. This is
a descriptive literature review study on adherence to antiretroviral therapy in patients
infected with HIV / AIDS. A total of 24 articles were reviewed and divided into tables,
where each table presents the main characteristics analyzed and studied for review in
different topics. It was possible to evaluate the profile of patients with HIV / AIDS and
to consider factors that hinder adherence to treatment, causing harm to the health of
patients.
