AVALIAÇÃO DA ACESSIBILIDADE NAS PRAÇAS E PARQUES DA CIDADE DE SÃO BORJA-RS
Este artigo tem por objetivo apresentar a avaliação da acessibilidade das praças e parques públicos destinados a atender a demanda do turismo e a demanda local de visitantes na cidade de São Borja. Para esta avaliação foram desenvolvidas quatro etapas: a primeira foi realizada através de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental sobre turismo e acessibilidade; a segunda etapa consistiu a pesquisa de campo que utilizou método da observação participante com a aplicação do modelo de questionário apresentado pelo Ministério do Turismo no Mapeamento e Planejamento da Acessibilidade em Destinos Turísticos; a terceira etapa foi à análise dos dados obtidos pela aplicação dos questionários; e, na etapa final foi realizada a construção teórica na forma de artigo contendo a pesquisa e os resultados obtidos. A avaliação mostrou que os esforços realizados para adaptar os equipamentos turísticos ainda se mostram insuficientes para atender as necessidades da pessoa com deficiência e com mobilidade reduzida mesmo que tais equipamentos recebam visitantes nestas condições.

Abstract:
The objective of this research is to present an assessment of the accessibility of public squares and parks designed to meet the demand for tourism and the local demand for visitors in the city of São Borja. For this evaluation, four stages were developed: the first was carried out through bibliographic and documentary research on tourism and accessibility; the second stage consisted of field research that used participant observation method with the application of the questionnaire model presented by the Ministry of Tourism in Mapping and Planning Accessibility in Tourist Destinations; the third step was the analysis of the data obtained by applying the questionnaires; and, in the final stage, the theoretical construction was carried out in the form of an article containing the research and the results obtained. The evaluation showed that the efforts made to adapt tourist equipment are still insufficient to meet the needs of people with disabilities and reduced mobility, even if such equipment receives visitors in these conditions.
