ATUALIZAÇÃO DA COBERTURA VACINAL ENTRE ESTUDANTES UNIVERSITÁRIOS
INTRODUÇÃO: As vacinas são utilizadas como um dos mecanismos mais eficazes na defesa contra agentes infecciosos e bacterianos. Sendo importante para evitar doenças imunopreveníveis. OBJETIVO: Verificar a atualização da cobertura vacinal de estudantes de saúde em uma universidade privada de Salvador. METODOLOGIA: Censo vacinal feito por extensionistas universitários, que coletaram dados vacinais de alunos. Após a leitura do cartão vacinal, iniciou-se a coleta das informações com projeção em uma plataforma virtual, onde foram criados gráficos para análises. RESULTADOS: Com análise dos gráficos verificou-se que 76,5% das entrevistadas eram mulheres e 49,8% com idade entre 21 e 31 anos. Através dos gráficos de situação vacinal observou-se que 59,4% dos entrevistados receberam até a 3ª dose da vacina contra Hepatite B, 45,5% até o reforço da DT, 34,4% até o reforço da vacina contra Febre Amarela, 42,4% até o reforço da Tríplice Viral, 75,8% nunca tomaram vacina contra HPV, 54,5% tomaram a da Meningite C, 46,9% tomaram da Hepatite A e 51,5% tomaram vacina contra H1N1. Diante dessas informações foi possível verificar que os discentes não percebiam a importância da atualização vacinal, o que proporcionou aos pesquisadores a realização de educação em saúde, conscientizando-os sobre a importância da imunização. CONCLUSÃO: Através do censo vacinal é possível trabalhar com educação em saúde nas lacunas existentes, além de servir como base para possíveis conquistas de obtenção vacinal em campo universitário. CONTRIBUIÇÕES PARA A ENFERMAGEM: Espera-se que as orientações contribuam para a formação da população acadêmica, resultando em profissionais conscientes quanto à importância da imunização.

Abstract:
INTRODUCTION: Vaccines are used as one of the most effective defense mechanisms against infectious and bacterial agents. Its use is important to prevent immunopreventable diseases. OBJECTIVE: To verify the update of vaccination coverage of health students at a private university in Salvador. METHODOLOGY: Vaccination census made by university extension workers, who collected vaccine data from students. After reading the vaccination card, we started collecting information with projection on a virtual platform, where graphs were created for information analysis. RESULTS: With analysis of the graphs it was found that 76.5% of respondents were women and 49.8% aged between 21 and 31 years. Through the vaccination situation graphs, it was observed that 59.4% of respondents received up to the 3rd dose of hepatitis B vaccine, 45.5% until the reinforcement of DT, 34.4% until the reinforcement of the Yellow Fever vaccine, 42.4% until Triple Viral booster, 75.8% never had HPV vaccine, 54.5% had Meningitis C, 46.9% had Hepatitis A and 51.5% had H1N1. Given this information it was possible to verify that the students did not realize the importance of the vaccination update, which allowed the researchers to conduct health education, making them aware of the importance of immunization. CONCLUSION: Through the vaccination census it is possible to work with health education, where relevant guidance on immunization is provided, as well to serve as a basis for possible achievements in vaccination in the university field. CONTRIBUTIONS TO NURSING: The guidance given by extensionists is expected to bring relevant information to the academic population, thus forming differentiated professionals in the perception of the relevance of immunization.
