Abstract: The objective was to identify in the literature the role of nurses in pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in Brazil. Integrative review developed in five stages: 1) elaboration of the research question: "What evidence is available in the literature about the role of nurses in pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation in Brazil?"; 2) search the Regional Portal of the Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde (BVS), with the descriptors, in Portuguese, English and Spanish: Cardiac Arrest; Cardiopulmonary resuscitation; Nursing; Nursing care; Pediatric Nursing; and Pediatrics, in addition to a non-systematic search on Google Scholar. Original research was prioritized, abstracts and other literature reviews were excluded; 3) the evaluation of data from reading selected documents; 4) consulted references that related to the theme; and 5) review presented descriptively in tables and textual paragraphs. Two studies were found in the BVS and two studies in Google Scholar. The results pointed out the important role of nurses in the care of patients with cardiopulmonary arrest (CPA), but they also indicated the need for strategies for continued training aimed at these professionals. It is important that the nurse is aware of the signs of pediatric CRP, of the entire process of caring for the victim, including the particularities in the compressions depending on the age of the patient, as well as having knowledge about post-CPA care. It is relevant that health services are also sensitive to the needs of professionals, devising strategies that will always keep them updated on the recent CPR recommendations.
