ASSISTÊNCIA DE ENFERMAGEM NA HIGIENIZAÇÃO ORAL DE PACIENTES INTUBADOS
A higienização oral é especialmente significante para a manutenção da saúde e para o conforto dos pacientes que se encontram intubados e sob ventilação mecânica, colocando-se enquanto uma prática importante na assistência a pacientes em terapia intensiva, afinal, sua realização colabora eficazmente para a diminuição de riscos de complicações, além de potencializar a redução do tempo de internação do paciente. E assim, o objetivo geral desta pesquisa consiste em demonstrar a importância da higienização oral, promovida pela assistência em enfermagem, em pacientes com intubação orotraqueal em meio a diminuição e prevenção de complicações, especialmente aquelas referentes ao acometimento de pneumonia associada à ventilação. Para o alcance de tais interesses recorrer-se-á metodologicamente à revisão bibliográfica para a promoção de um estudo básico, exploratório e qualitativo com estudos e artigos publicados em meio ao período de 2010 a 2016 que encontrem-se indexados nas bases de dados SCIELO, BVS e LILACS.

Abstract:
Oral hygiene is especially significant for the maintenance of the health and for the comfort of patients who are intubated and under mechanical ventilation, being an important practice in the care of intensive care patients, after all, its accomplishment effectively collaborates for the reduction of risks of complications, besides potentiating the reduction of the patient's hospitalization time. Thus, the general objective of this research is to demonstrate the importance of oral hygiene, promoted by nursing care, in patients with orotracheal intubation in the midst of the reduction and prevention of complications, especially those related to the involvement of ventilation-associated pneumonia. To reach such interests, a bibliographic review will be used methodologically to promote a basic, exploratory and qualitative study with studies and articles published during the period from 2010 to 2016 that are indexed in the databases SCIELO, VHL and LILACS.
