Abstract: Epilepsy is the most common neurological disease, affecting approximately 50 to 60 million people worldwide, with 80% of those affected living in low- and middle-income countries. To understand nursing care during emergencies in epileptic seizures in adolescents. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, outlined from a scoping review conducted between April and June 2024. In formulating the guiding question, this research adopted the acronym PICO: population; interest; context, the Descriptors: “adolescent”, “nursing care”, "epilepsy" and “urgency and emergency” were analyzed using the Boolean operators AND and OR. The results showed that nursing interventions for epileptic seizures in adolescents include patient safety, seizure differentiation, assessment and stabilization of the patient following the first aid protocols of the American Neurological Association, ensuring that family members and caregivers are guided in the continuity of this care. The nursing team plays a crucial role in assisting adolescents with epileptic seizures, and it is necessary to use appropriate protocols to care for victims. Systematizing nursing care in emergency services can improve the quality of life of people with epilepsy.
