ASSISTÊNCIA DE ENFERMAGEM AO PACIENTE PORTADOR DA SÍNDROME DE STEVEN-JOHNSON: RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA
A síndrome de Stevens-Johnson (SSJ) é uma patologia mucocutânea pouco frequente e potencialmente fatal. É uma afecção inflamatória aguda, febril e autolimitada, com duração aproximada de duas a quatro semanas, que afeta a pele e a membrana mucosa. Objetiva-se relatar a assistência prestada pelo enfermeiro frente as lesões causadas pela SSJ. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo do tipo relato de experiência sobre o cuidado de uma paciente portadora da SSJ internada em um hospital municipal do Rio de janeiro. Os resultados evidenciam que a assistência de enfermagem adequada, juntamente com a equipe multidisciplinar, corrobora para o pronto restabelecimento do paciente portador da SSJ, assim como diminuição de infecções secundárias a síndrome e diminuição do tempo de internação.

Abstract:
Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SSJ) is an uncommon and potentially fatal mucocutaneous disorder. It is an acute, feverish, self-limiting inflammatory condition lasting approximately two to four weeks that affects the skin and mucous membrane. The objective is to report the care provided by nurses in the face of injuries caused by SSJ. This is a descriptive study of the type experience report on the care of a patient with SSJ admitted to a municipal hospital in Rio de Janeiro. The results show that adequate nursing care, together with the multidisciplinary team, corroborates the prompt recovery of patients with SSJ, as well as a decrease in infections secondary to the syndrome and a reduction in hospitalization time.
