AS TRANSFORMAÇÕES ESPACIAIS NO MUNICÍPIO DO RIO GRANDE A PARTIR DA INTRODUÇÃO DO PÓLO NAVAL.
Essa pesquisa tem como objetivo
identificar as áreas do município do Rio
Grande que sofreram maiores alterações
espaciais tanto com relação à instalação e/ou
ampliação de comércio, indústria e serviços
quanto crescimento da malha urbana para
fins de habitação, a partir da implantação
do Pólo Naval. Nos últimos anos esta cidade
foi contemplada com a instalação de um
Pólo Naval, o qual trouxe um grande número
de pessoas para a localidade a procura de
empregos. Com isso, a cidade expandiu sua
malha urbana de forma acelerada originando
novos espaços diferenciados e agravando o
déficit habitacional.

Abstract:
The objective of this research is
to identify the areas of the municipality of Rio
Grande that suffered major spatial changes in
relation to the installation and / or expansion of
trade, industry and services, as well as the growth
of the urban network for housing purposes,
since the implementation of the Naval Pole. In
the last years this city was contemplated with
the installation of a Naval Pole, which brought
a great number of people to the locality looking
for jobs. With this, the city expanded its urban
network in an accelerated way giving rise to
new spaces differentiated and aggravating the
housing deficit.
