Abstract: In search of thermal comfort, people all over the world have resorted to using air conditioning. This electrical equipment is responsible for condensing water from the atmosphere, and this water is generally wasted. In this study, we evaluated the water-generating capacity of these refrigerators and how they could be used to grow plants. The work was carried out in the Phytotechnics laboratory, Auroras Campus, Redenção-CE, from April 15 to July 9, 2024. The climbing plant Alamanda vermelha (Allamanda blanchetti violacea) was used. 100 seeds were planted in four wooden planters in full sun. Water was collected from an air conditioning unit in order to calculate the volume per hour and assess the pH of the water collected from the air conditioning unit. The volume collected was 18.202 l/h. The pH assessed was 6.89. Therefore, under these conditions, it can be said that it was possible to sow and grow Alamanda vermelha plants with the water from the air conditioner
