Abstract: The influence of social media on people's daily lives, especially among young adults, who are the main details on digital platforms. Although excessive use of social media is associated with mental health problems, such as depression and anxiety, moderate use can bring benefits, such as the dissemination of information. The article aims to identify the topics of interest to young people who follow social media aimed at fashion, with the aim of understanding the specificities and behaviors of this specific audience. The use of Instagram, one of the most popular social networks with an impact on the fashion market, stands out. Finally, it is concluded that understanding the preferences and behaviors of young people contributes to disseminating content that is interesting to them and to the academic environment in the fashion industry. However, it is essential to strike a balance between the benefits and harms that the use of these platforms can cause.
