AS CONSEQUÊNCIAS DO DISTANCIAMENTO SOCIAL CAUSADO PELA PANDEMIA DO COVID-19 NAS INSTITUIÇÕES DE LONGA PERMANÊNCIA PARA IDOSOS
As Instituições de Longa Permanência para Idoso, (ILPIs) que anteriormente contavam com auxílio dos familiares, voluntários e grupos religiosos na execução de atividades recreativas e na promoção de bem-estar e felicidade na rotina das pessoas idosas, foram obrigados diante do isolamento social a suspenderem suas ações. Com o atual cenário causado pela pandemia do coronavírus (COVID-19), fez-se necessário a adoção das medidas de distanciamento social consistente na necessidade de evitar aglomerações, atingindo principalmente os idosos que fazem parte do grupo de risco, uma vez que as complicações no quadro da doença aumentam nas pessoas acima dos 60 anos, redobrando a exigência de cuidados, sem, todavia, fazer emergir o sentimento de abandono afetivo e físico por estarem cada vez mais longe dos seus familiares. Portanto, diante da explanação, este capítulo busca demostrar que a pandemia intensificou o abandono afetivo dentro e fora das instituições. Para tanto, o estudo, utilizou-se do método hipotético-dedutivo, com a realização de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, pela abordagem da análise de conteúdo.

Abstract:
Long-term care institutions for the elderly (ILPIs), which previously had the help of family members, volunteers and religious groups in the execution of recreational activities and in the promotion of well-being and happiness in the routine of the elderly, were forced in the face of social isolation to suspend their actions. With the current scenario caused by the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), it was necessary to adopt measures of social distance, consistent with the need to avoid agglomerations, mainly affecting the elderly who are part of the risk group, since the complications in the context of the disease, they increase in people over 60 years old, redoubling the demand for care, without, however, giving rise to the feeling of emotional and physical abandonment, as they are increasingly distant from their family members. Therefore, in view of the explanation, this chapter seeks to demonstrate that the pandemic has intensified the affective abandonment inside and outside the institutions. For this, the study used the hypothetical-deductive method, with the accomplishment of bibliographic and documentary research, through the content analysis approach.
