AS APLICABILIDADES E INOVAÇÕES DA REALIDADE VIRTUAL E AUMENTADA COM ENFOQUE EM SAÚDE: UMA REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
A Realidade Virtual (RV) e a Realidade Aumentada (RA) trouxeram consigo a possibilidade de interagir com o mundo externo de uma forma totalmente nova. Este trabalho tem por objetivo mostrar a utilização da Realidade Virtual (RV) e Realidade Aumentada (RA) na área da saúde. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, na qual a pesquisa foi realizada entre os meses de agosto e novembro de 2018, sendo escolhidos os artigos em português ou inglês, disponíveis na íntegra e publicados entre os anos de 2004 e 2018. Os principais temas abordados pelos autores dos estudos selecionados dizem respeito à Interface de Comunicação, Educação Médica, Simulação Cirúrgica e Psicoterapia. Muitos dos artigos escolhidos propõem novos conceitos sobre as tecnologias de aplicação de RV e seu potencial na prevenção e tratamento de doenças. Diferente do esperado, este trabalho mostra que essas tecnologias podem ser ferramentas determinantes para o treinamento em saúde; reabilitação e auxílio de procedimentos cirúrgicos, proporcionando uma melhor precisão nos processos de incisão, ressecção, mapeamento do local alvo, além da precisão na visualização de tumores. Apesar do uso da RV e RA ser um instrumento de grande potencial no campo da saúde existem poucos estudos nacionais sobre a temática, sendo visto maior interesse por pesquisadores estrangeiros.

Abstract:
Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) have brought with them the possibility of interacting with the external world in a whole new way. This work aims to show the use of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) in the health area. This is an integrative literature review, in which the research was carried out between August and November 2018, with articles in Portuguese or English, available in full and published between 2004 and 2018 being chosen. topics addressed by the authors of the selected studies concern the Communication Interface, Medical Education, Surgical Simulation and Psychotherapy. Many of the selected articles propose new concepts about VR application technologies and their potential in disease prevention and treatment. Differently from what was expected, this work shows that these technologies can be decisive tools for health training; rehabilitation and assistance in surgical procedures, providing better precision in the processes of incision, resection, mapping of the target site, in addition to precision in the visualization of tumors. Despite the use of VR and AR being an instrument of great potential in the field of health, there are few national studies on the subject, with greater interest being seen by foreign researchers.
