Abstract: Obtaining energy generation data from photovoltaic plants is critical to understanding the benefits of renewable energies. This study explores the technical characteristics that make up the On and Off-Grid plants, inverters, and communication methods, with the objective of integrating different devices, with data storage. The work is justified by the variety of inverters used, which results in the use of specific applications by the plants, meaning that users do not have ownership and control over the generated data, and have access to a small portion of the technical data. There are data access limitations that prevent and make it difficult to manage energy generation. The research question is: How to manage and store data from a photovoltaic plant, with data persistence and independence from the types and brands of equipment used? As a methodology, bibliographic-exploratory research is applied to obtaining raw data from inverter equipment, technical analysis of communication protocols, and hardware and software specifications for data collection and storage. As a result, a database and a web system with detailed graphics of both solar installations are presented. The contribution allows the correlation of measured variables, serving as a decision-support tool for managers.
