APRENDIZAGEM DE ÁLGEBRA: DIFICULDADES ENFRENTADAS PELOS ALUNOS DO TERCEIRO ANO DO ENSINO MÉDIO DE UMA ESCOLA PÚBLICA DO MUNICÍPIO DE MARABÁ-PA
Um dos principais objetivos das
escolas é contribuir para que os alunos
desenvolvam habilidades que facilitem seu
desenvolvimento pessoal/profissional. No
intuito de responder o questionamento: quais
as principais dificuldades apresentadas pelos
alunos do terceiro ano ensino médio, de
uma escola da rede pública do município de
Marabá, Pará, em relação à aprendizagem do
conteúdo de álgebra, que faz parte da matriz
de referência do ENEM? foi elaborado o
objetivo: identificar e compreender as principais
dificuldades apresentadas pelos alunos do
terceiro ano ensino médio, de uma escola da
rede pública, do município de Marabá, Pará,
em relação à aprendizagem do conteúdo de
álgebra, que faz parte da matriz de referência
do ENEM. A pesquisa foi realizada numa escola
pública, localizada na zona urbana de Marabá,
Pará, com uma professora de matemática
e com vinte e nove (29) alunos de 3° ano do
ensino médio tomando por base os preceitos
quantitativos e qualitativos. Concluiu-se que
muitos alunos têm dificuldades em interpretar
dados algébricos devido à falta de compreensão
dos conceitos aritméticos básicos. Além disso,
muitos alunos não apresentam afinidade com
a matemática e este fenômeno pode estar
relacionado com experiências negativas em
relação aos conteúdos matemáticos, criando
um pensamento de que a matemática é algo
incompreensível.

classes of high school education, a public school in the municipality of Marabá, Pará, in
relation to learning the language of algebra, which is part of the reference matrix of the
ENEM? the objective was to identify and understand the main difficulties presented by
the students of the third year of high school, from a public school in the city of Marabá,
Pará, in relation to the learning of algebra content, which is part of the reference matrix
of ENEM. The research was carried out in a public school, located in the urban zone of
Marabá, Pará, with a mathematics teacher and twenty-nine (29) students of 3rd year of
high school based on quantitative and qualitative precepts. It was concluded that many
students have difficulty interpreting algebraic data due to lack of understanding of basic
arithmetic concepts. In addition, many students have no affinity for mathematics, and
this phenomenon may be related to negative experiences in mathematical content,
creating a thought that mathematics is incomprehensible.
