ANÁLISE QUANTITATIVA DE POLIFARMACIA EM CLIENTES IDOSOS DE UM POSTO DE DISTRIBUIÇÃO DE MEDICAMENTOS DA CIDADE DE MARAIAL-PE
A polifarmácia é uma prática bastante comum entre os idosos, mas os estudos sobre essa temática ainda são escassos, os estudos existentes já identificam sua ligação com diversas reações adversas. O objetivo principal dessa pesquisa é identificar quais os fatores que estão relacionados a polifarmácia e suas variáveis em idosos. Compreendendo que a polifarmácia deixa os idosos mais vulneráveis aos efeitos colaterais, além das possíveis reações adversas, pois se eleva diante do uso de medicamentos inadequados. Logo, os riscos da polifarmacia têm mais incidência nesta faixa etária. Foi possível observar que há uma incidência da prática de polifarmacia e também o uso de medicamentos sem prescrição, dessa forma, é de suma relevância a atuação do farmacêutico na assistência e promoção da saúde em todas as comunidades.

Abstract:
The polypharmacy is a really common practice amongseniors, but the studies about the subject are scarce, existing studies had found a connection to adverse reactions. The main goal of this research is to identify thefactors related to polypharmacy and their variable onseniors. Absorbing that polypharmacy let seniors more vulnerable to the collateral effects, also to adverse reactions, because there is an elevation of consumption ofinadequate medicine. Therefore, the risks of polypharmacyare more incidence in this age range.
It was possible to observe that there is an incidence of thepractice of polypharmacy and also the use of over-the-counter medications, thus, the role of the pharmacist in assisting and promoting health in all communities isextremely relevant. -
