Abstract: With the advancement of globalization, there has been an increased demand for new technologies and materials that can replace existing ones, driving scientific advancements, particularly within the energy sector. In this context, the production of aluminum alloys is gaining significant traction in the energy sector due to their appealing properties. The objective of this study was to produce an Al-1.5%Ni alloy, subject it to heat treatment, and subsequently evaluate its electrical and tensile strength properties. The alloy was melted using the conventional casting method, then machined, solutionized, and artificially aged at 350 °C. It was further rolled to produce wires with a diameter of 3 mm, which were then subjected to tests for electrical conductivity and mechanical strength. The analysis of the obtained data revealed that the heat treatment resulted in a mere 1.07% increase in conductivity, contrasting with the Longitudinal Residual Tensile (LRT) obtained, where the alloy experienced a 28.94% decrease. This suggests that after heat treatment, the material may exhibit increased fragility.
