ANÁLISE DO COLÁGENO DA AORTA COM ATEROSCLEROSE EM HUMANOS
Este estudo tem o objetivo de analisar a disposição do colágeno na parede da aorta que apresenta placas de ateroma. Foram utilizados 15 fragmentos de aorta humana sem identificação do sexo. Destes, 5 eram da parte ascendente, 4 da descendente torácica e 6 da descendente abdominal. Na parte ascendente da aorta, encontramos predomínio do tecido elástico e o colágeno está localizado na túnica média entre as lâminas elásticas. Na parte torácica, ocorre diminuição do elástico e inicia-se o aumento do colágeno e, na aorta abdominal, vemos uma maior predominância do colágeno em relação ao componente elástico. Observamos hegemonia do colágeno tipo III, sendo presente em maior abundância na média. O colágeno estava distribuído na aorta com menor preponderância próximo ao coração, e à medida que se afastava houve aumento do colágeno e diminuição do elástico, perdendo a organização lamelar. O colágeno tipo III predominou nas três partes da aorta.

Abstract:
This research aims to analyze the collagen arrangement in the aortic wall that has atheromatous plaques. Fifteen fragments of human aorta were used without gender identification. Of these, 5 were from the ascending part, 4 from the thoracic descending part and 6 from the abdominal descending part. In the ascending part of the aorta, there is a predominance of elastic tissue and collagen is situated in the tunica media between the elastic laminae. In the thoracic part, the elastic tissue decreases and the collagen begins to increase, and in the abdominal aorta we see a greater predominance of the collagen in relation to the elastic component. We observed a hegemony of collagen type III, being present in greater abundance in the tunica media. Collagen was distributed in the aorta with less preponderance close to the heart, and as it moved away, there was an increase in collagen and a decrease in elastic tissue, losing the lamellar organization. The collagen type III predominated in the three parts of the aorta.
