ANÁLISE DE MANIFESTAÇÕES PATOLÓGICAS DE UMA MARQUISE – ESTUDO DE CASO
Considerada uma das mais vulneráveis estruturas, as marquises ganharam destaque midiático, devido aos vários acidentes ocorridos no território brasileiro, incluindo a capital pernambucana, que geraram danos físicos e materiais aos transeuntes. Neste trabalho, foi estudada e analisada a marquise de um edifício localizado em área litorânea do Recife que apresentava várias patologias, as quais foram se agravando no decorrer de seus quarenta anos de existência. Foram feitas visitas ao local, com o objetivo de obter registros fotográficos e ter acesso aos projetos arquitetônicos da estrutura. A partir daí, abordou-se um breve histórico e as funcionalidades das marquises, conceitos dos principais tipos de manifestações patológicas que podem vir a se instalar nesse sistema e seus mecanismos de ocorrência, histórico de acidentes em Recife e a importância da realização de manutenções periódicas nessas estruturas. Com base nas informações coletadas, foi analisado o grau de risco da estrutura a partir da evolução das patologias que se apresentaram. Espera-se que, de alguma forma, as autoridades e a população das capitais brasileiras comecem a tomar consciência deste problema de segurança pública a fim de que futuras tragédias possam ser evitadas.

Abstract:
Considered one of the most vulnerable structures, marquees have been gaining prominence in the media due to recent accidents in Brazil, including the capital of Pernambuco, which have caused physical and material damages to passers-by. In this work the study of a building located in a coastal area of Recife was studied and analyzed, which presented several pathologies that were worsening during its forty years of existence. Visits were made to the site, with the objective of obtaining photographic records and access to the architectural projects of the structure. From there, a brief history and the functionalities of the marquees, concepts of the main types of pathological manifestations that may come to be installed in this system and its mechanisms of occurrence, historical of accidents in Recife and the importance of performing periodical maintenance Structures. Based on the information collected, the degree of risk of the structure was analyzed based on the evolution of the pathologies presented in it. It was also presented the solution used by the residents of the building to remedy the problem. It is hoped that the authorities and the population of Brazilian capitals will somehow begin to become aware of this problem of public safety so that future tragedies can be avoided.
