ANÁLISE DAS CARACTERÍSTICAS DO PROTOCOLO DE ROTEAMENTO RIP: UM ESTUDO DE CASO SOBRE O ASPECTO DE SEGURANÇA NO RIPv2
Este artigo descreve as principais
características do Routing Information Protocol
(RIP) em suas duas versões e esclarece quais
deficiências da versão 1 foram solucionadas
na versão 2 deste protocolo. São realizadas
análises, por meio de um estudo de caso
considerando eventos reais, levando em
consideração o aspecto de segurança, tratado
na versão 2 através do recurso de autenticação.
Os resultados do experimento comprovaram a
eficácia do recurso, prevenindo a infraestrutura
da rede contra ataques de blackhole e negação
de serviço.

Abstract:
This paper describes the main
characteristics of the Routing Information
Protocol (RIP) in its two versions, highlighting
the improvements made in the version 2 of this protocol. Analyses are performed by means of
a case study considering real events, taking
into account the security aspect, treated in
the version 2 by the authentication feature.
The results of the experiment proved the
effectiveness of the improvements, being able
to preventing the network infrastructure from
blackhole and denial of service attacks
