ANÁLISE DA RADIAÇÃO ULTRAVIOLETA NO MUNICÍPIO DE RIO CLARO – SP, PARA IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DE POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS PARA PREVENÇÃO DO CÂNCER DE PELE
O câncer de pele é a neoplasia de maior incidência no Brasil2, sendo que novos casos são comuns anualmente, principalmente na faixa etária da população que está acima dos 40 anos, já que seus principais tipos, basocelular e espinocelular são causados pelo acúmulo da radiação ultravioleta ao longo da vida do paciente.16 A principal forma de prevenção contra a doença é a utilização do filtro solar, o qual ainda é considerado um cosmético, podendo sofrer alterações de preço de acordo com a demanda e assim dificultando a sua aquisição por toda a população brasileira. Além disso, há também a falta de informação da população sobre a doença e sobre os benefícios da utilização do protetor solar. Esse trabalho buscou averiguar os conhecimentos da população quanto a doença e analisar os índices da radiação ultravioleta no município de Rio Claro, a fim de avaliar a necessidade da proteção contra o sol em áreas urbanas não litorâneas.

Abstract:
Skin cancer is the most frequent disease in Brazil2 and new cases are common annually, especially in the age group of the population that is above 40 years, since its main types, basocellular and squamous cell are caused by the accumulation of ultraviolet radiation. 16 The main form of prevention against the disease is the use of the sunscreen, which is still considered a cosmetic and may suffer price changes according to the demand and thus making it difficult for the Brazilian population to acquire them. In addition, there is also the lack of information from the population about the disease and about the benefits of using sunscreen. This work sought to ascertain the population 's knowledge about the disease and to analyze the indices of ultraviolet radiation in the city of Rio Claro, in order to evaluate the need for protection against the sun in non - coastal urban areas.
