ANÁLISE BIBLIOMÉTRICA SOBRE IDOSOS E INSTITUIÇÕES DE LONGA PERMANÊNCIA
O Brasil está passando por um processo de envelhecimento da população, como parte da transição etária. Nesse contexto, as Instituições de Longa Permanência desempenham papel importante no cuidado dessa população. Assim, se faz necessário conhecer a produção científica sobre o tema. Com esse objetivo, foi realizado um estudo bibliométrico dos artigos publicados para entender a produção e o perfil dos estudos em língua portuguesa entre 2016 e 2022 na base de dados Biblioteca Virtual Em Saúde. Foram encontrados 270 publicações, que foram divididas em 7 temáticas:
Funcionalidade (43 artigos), Cuidadores/cuidados (67 artigos), Doenças específicas (23 artigos), Covid-19 (15 artigos), Saúde mental (20 artigos), Perfil dos idosos (31 artigos) e Intervenções terapêuticas (34 artigos), e aquelas que
não se encaixaram em nenhuma delas foram postas numa categoria denominada “outros” (37 artigos). Conjuntamente foi realizada uma análise de redes com clustering utilizando as palavras-chave dos estudos. Também foram analisadas as revistas e os autores com maior número de publicações, assim como a produção de cada ano pesquisado. Foi visto que o número de estudos vem decaindo, o que vai na contramão do envelhecimento populacional e da relevância das Instituições de Longa Permanência para acolher esses idosos. Isso demonstra a necessidade de maior investimento na produção científica dentro desse tema, para melhor compreender a realidade dessa população e os cuidados prestados a ela.

Abstract:
Brazil is going through a process of aging of its population, as part of its demographic transition. In this context, Long Stay Institutions play an important role in the care of this population. Therefore, it is necessary to know the scientific production about the subject. With this goal, an bibliometric study was made of the articles published to understand the production and the profile of the studies in the portuguese language between the years of 2016 and 2022 on the Biblioteca Virtual Em Saúde database. 270 publications were found, which were divided in 7 themes: Functionality (43 articles), Caretakers/Care (67 articles), Specific diseases (23 articles), COVID-19 (15 articles), Mental health (20 articles), Profile of the elderly (31 articles) and Therapeutic interventions (34 articles), and those that did not fit any of them were placed in a category called “Others” (37 articles). At the same time, a network analysis with clustering of the
keywords of the studies was made. The journals and authors with the largest number of publications were also analyzed, together with the production of each year researched. It was seen that the number of studies has been falling, which
goes in the opposite direction of the population’s aging and the relevance of Long Stay Institutions to foster those people. That shows the necessity of bigger investments in scientific production on the subject, to better understand the reality of this population and the care provided to them.
