ALEITAMENTO MATERNO NO CONTEXTO DA PANDEMIA DA COVID-19: UM ESTUDO REFLEXIVO
Objetivo: Refletir acerca do aleitamento materno no contexto da pandemia da Covid-19. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo-reflexivo, embasado na literatura pertinente sobre o assunto, realizado no mês de maio de 2021 nas bases de dados nas bases de dados Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SCIELO), Literatura Latino-Americana em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), National Library of Medicine (MEDLINE) e Banco de Dados da Enfermagem (BDENF). Resultados: O estudo demonstrou que os dados acerca da amamentação no contexto da pandemia da Covid-19 ainda está permeada de incertezas e dúvidas quanto aos possíveis riscos de transmissão da infecção aos recém-nascidos de mãe com suspeita ou confirmação da doença. No entanto, a comunidade científica enfatiza os benefícios do aleitamento materno mesmo nessas situações, visto que os esses benefícios superam os possíveis riscos a que esses bebês estão expostos. Conclusão: Assim, considerando que até o momento não foi verificada a contaminação pelo coronavírus por meio do aleitamento materno, faz-se necessário novos estudos sobre a temática, a fim de elucidar as possíveis dúvidas. Diante disso, é fundamental informar as gestantes que as medidas de precauções devem ser mantidas e reforçadas criteriosamente.

Abstract:
Objective: Reflect on breastfeeding in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. Methodology: This is a descriptive-reflective study, based on the relevant literature on the subject, carried out in May 2021 in the databases of Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) databases, Latin American Literature in Science of the Health (LILACS), National Library of Medicine (MEDLINE) and Nursing Database (BDENF). Results: The study showed that data about breastfeeding in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic is still permeated by uncertainties and doubts about the possible risks of transmission of the infection to newborns of mothers with suspected or confirmed disease. However, the scientific community emphasizes the benefits of breastfeeding even in these situations, as these benefits outweigh the possible risks to which these babies are exposed. Conclusion: Therefore, considering that until now coronavirus contamination through breastfeeding has not been verified, further studies on the subject are necessary in order to clarify possible doubts. Therefore, it is essential to inform pregnant women that precautionary measures must be carefully maintained and reinforced.
