AÇÕES COMUNITÁRIAS DE EDUCAÇÃO EM SAÚDE NO ÂMBITO DA EXTENSÃO UNIVERSITÁRIA
O projeto de extensão EduCACC: Atividades educativas quanto a cuidados básicos em saúde para a comunidade atendida pelo Centro de Apoio à Criança Com Câncer (CACC) foi criado com o intuito de desenvolver ações educativas junto à comunidade atendida pela Organização Não Governamental (ONG) Centro de Apoio à Criança com Câncer. Com enfoque na temática de cuidados básicos em saúde, o grupo extensionista visa a orientação da população, para consolidação de hábitos que qualifiquem a saúde e previnam doenças. Sob essa perspectiva, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo descrever ações realizadas pelo grupo, que tiveram como temas: higiene das mãos, saúde da mulher e câncer infanto-juvenil. Considerando a resposta da comunidade participante - crianças, jovens e adultos que frequentam a ONG – foi observada demonstração de interesse e interlocução entre comunidade e extensionistas. Destaca-se o efeito esclarecedor da extensão na população atendida e formativo nos participantes do projeto.

Abstract:
The EduCACC: Educational activities regarding basic health care for the community served by the Child Cancer Support Center (CACC) extension project was created with the intention of performing educational actions with the community served by the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Support Center for Children with Cancer (CACC). Focusing on the theme of basic health care, the extension group aims to guide the population, to consolidate habits that qualify health and prevent diseases. Under this perspective, the present work aims to describe actions carried out by the group, which had the following themes: hand hygiene, women's health, and childhood cancer. Considering the response from the participating community - children, youth and adults who attend the NGO - a demonstration of interest and dialogue between community and extensionists was observed. We highlight the enlightening effect of extension on the population assisted and formative in the project participants.
