ABUSO DE DROGAS LÍCITAS E ILÍCITAS POR USUÁRIOS DO SEXO MASCULINO: TRATAMENTO E RECAÍDA, QUAIS OS MOTIVOS?
OBJETIVO: Descobrir os principais motivos pelos quais os usuários de drogas buscaram tratamento para a dependência, e qual a prevalência de recaídas entre os mesmos. MATERIAIS E MÉTODOS: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo do tipo quantitativo, realizado em um Centro de Atenção Psicossocial de Álcool e outras Drogas, com 50 participantes. A coleta de dados foi realizada durante maio a julho de 2014, através de um questionário. Para o cálculo amostral utilizou-se a fórmula da população finita. Os dados foram organizados através do programa SPSS Statistics 20.0, representados em gráficos e analisados à luz da literatura pertinente. RESULTADOS: A pesquisa foi realizada com homens que tinham entre 18 anos e 65 anos. 100% dos participantes utilizavam bebida alcoólica e 68% dos mesmos, faziam uso de cigarro. Os principais motivos pelos quais os participantes da pesquisa procuraram ajuda foram, arrependimento e por causa de alucinações. A maioria teve um número de quatro internações para tratamento. CONSIDERAÇÕES FINAIS: O estudo possibilitou o conhecimento de algumas variáveis do perfil dos dependentes químicos. No tocante a idade, percebeu-se que as pessoas usam álcool e outras drogas cada vez mais cedo, e que os idosos são os que menos procuram atendimento especializado, o que torna necessário, mais pesquisas na área para entender os motivos pela não procura. Necessita-se, ainda, de estratégias que contribuam para que não haja tantas recaídas no tratamento, como mostram as evidências.

Abstract:
OBJECTIVE: To discover the main reasons why drug users sought treatment for addiction, and what the prevalence of relapses among them is. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This is a descriptive study of the quantitative type, carried out in a Psychosocial Care Center for Alcohol and other Drugs, with 50 participants. Data collection was carried out during May to July 2014, using a questionnaire. For the sample calculation, the finite population formula was used. The data were organized using the SPSS Statistics 20.0 program, represented in graphs and analyzed in the light of the relevant literature. RESULTS: The research was carried out with men who were between 18 and 65 years old. 100% of the participants used alcoholic beverages and 68% of them, used cigarettes. The main reasons why research participants sought help were regret and hallucinations. Most had four hospitalizations for treatment. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: The study enabled the knowledge of some variables of the profile of drug addicts. Regarding age, it was noticed that people use alcohol and other drugs at an earlier age, and that the elderly are the least likely to seek specialized care, which makes more research in the area necessary to understand the reasons for not looking. There is also a need for strategies that contribute so that there are not so many relapses in treatment, as the evidence shows. -
