ABORDAGEM DO CONCEITO ESPAÇO A PARTIR DA UTILIZAÇÃO DE MAPAS NO 5º ANO DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL
O presente artigo resulta de uma
investigação realizada sobre os conhecimentos
do espaço vivido e habitado dos alunos do 5º
ano do Ensino Fundamental I, com faixa etária
entre 09 e 11 anos de idade, em mapas mentais,
elaborados exclusivamente por eles, sem a
influência integra de possíveis mapas, cartas
topográficas ou da professora, na realização de
seus desenhos. O objetivo dessa análise era
de realizar uma reflexão acerca da importância
do ensino de Cartografia nas séries iniciais do
Ensino Fundamental com o proposito de que
as crianças possam compreender melhor o
espaço que habitam. Neste artigo, procura-se
identificar a estrutura e características na qual
a criança utiliza para expressar, por meio de
seu desenho, o seu espaço vivido e, com isto
compreender melhor o uso e a funcionalidade
dos mapas que estão sendo inseridos no
cotidiano dessas crianças por meio da disciplina
de Geografia.

Abstract:
This article is the result of an
investigation carried out on the knowledge of
the lived and inhabited space of the students
of the 5th grade of Elementary School I, aged
between 9 and 11 years old, in mental maps,
elaborated exclusively by them, without the
integral influence. of possible maps, topographic
charts or the teacher’s, in the realization of
their drawings. The purpose of this analysis
was to reflect on the importance of teaching
Cartography in the early grades of elementary
school with the purpose that children can better
understand the space they inhabit. This article
seeks to identify the structure and characteristics
in which children use to express, through their
drawing, their lived space and, with this, better
understand the use and functionality of the maps
that are being inserted in the daily lives of these
children. through the discipline of geography.
