A Virgem Maria prefigurada nos mosaicos da Fachada Norte do Santuário Nacional de Aparecida na arte de Marko Ivan Rupnik SJ.
A Fachada Norte do Santuário Nacional de Aparecida retrata em 24 mosaicos cenas do Êxodo: a história de Moisés, a escravidão do povo hebreu no Egito, a libertação, ou seja, a 1ª Páscoa, a passagem pelo Mar Vermelho e a caminhada do povo hebreu no deserto rumo à Terra Prometida. Nosso objetivo é mostrar alguns mosaicos que evidenciam a importância das mulheres na preservação da vida de Moisés na infância e também a prefiguração da Virgem Maria visivelmente revelada em dois momentos: no episódio da Sarça Ardente Ex 3, 1-10 e no mosaico da construção da tenda do encontro, como a mulher que tece o véu descrito em Ex 26,11. Na apresentação serão destacados, a partir da descrição do Projeto Jornada Bíblica - que consiste em revestir com mosaicos as quatro fachadas do Santuário Nacional -, a base patrística e teológica em que se fundamenta o artista e teólogo esloveno Marko Ivan Rupnik (1954-) para a confecção dos mosaicos; o aspecto simbólico; a essencialidade da forma; o significado das cores. Além de uma breve biografia do artista, as imagens relativas ao tema serão mostradas em slides no decorrer da comunicação.

Abstract:
The North Facade of the National Sanctuary of Aparecida depicts in 24 mosaics scenes from the Exodus: the story of Moses, the slavery of the Hebrew people in Egypt, the liberation, that is, the 1st Passover, the passage through the Red Sea and the journey of the Hebrew people in the desert towards the Promised Land. Our objective is to show some mosaics that evidence the importance of women in the preservation of Moses' childhood life and also the foreshadowing of the Virgin Mary visibly revealed in two moments: in the episode of the Burning Bush Ex 3, 1-10 and in the mosaic of the construction of the meeting tent, as the woman who weaves the veil described in Ex 26, 11. In the presentation, the description of the Biblical Journey Project - which consists in covering the four facades of the National Sanctuary with mosaics - will highlight the patristic and theological basis on which the Slovenian artist and theologian Marko Ivan Rupnik (1954-) based his work; the symbolic aspect; the essentiality of the form; the meaning of the colors. In addition to a brief biography of the artist, images relating to the theme will be shown on slides in the course of the talk.
