Abstract: This chapter is an experience report, carried out by medical students of the third semester, from Centro Universitário Estácio do Ceará - Campus Quixadá, on March 31, 2023, at the Philanthropic Institution Remanso da Paz in the city of Quixadá-Ce. The action had the objective of promoting health, on the occasion socio-educational games were exposed to a group of elderly people, in order to observe and stimulate greater cognitive, physical and mental development of the target audience when presented to these games and activities. Therefore, in the present study, we seek to relate the use of educational games as a viable tool for disease prevention, since it promotes the exercise of mental activities necessary for carrying out common daily activities and which with old age end up being limited. Finally, regarding the students' experience in relation to the proposed activity and the results of this action, the positive impact of the proposed activity on the elderly with the use of these instruments is considered. However, the importance and need for continued use of the tools and the intervention of a mediator who interacts with the elderly properly presented the games, stimulating and seeking to develop competent skills, are highlighted.
