Abstract: In the 21st century, in the tradition of interpretative practices, the idea of talent is still a reality. As a consequence, the methodology offered often relies on the insistent number of repetitions to obtain qualitative results. The contradiction is that this actin emphasizes quantitative behavior, devoid of reflection and conscious organization. This investigation aims to present the trajectory of scientific achievements on piano pedagogy, outlining tools based on awareness of processes for study/leaning. The theoretical foundation presents, as main support, national teachers/pianists who left an important legacy for piano study with scientific premises, weakening the myth of innatism: Antonio Sá Pereira (1888-1966), José Alberto Kaplan (1935-2009) and Scheilla Glaser (s/d). This is bibliographical research, emphasizing the importance of mutation and, consequently, of real achievements in the trajectory of piano playing.
