A TECNOLOGIA ASSISTIVA COMO VETOR DE EQUIDADE: ESTUDO APLICADO SOBRE ACESSIBILIDADE E INCLUSÃO PROFISSIONAL DE PESSOAS COM DEFICIÊNCIA

Este artigo apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa aplicada sobre o uso da tecnologia assistiva como instrumento de promoção da equidade no ambiente laboral, com foco na região da Associação dos Municípios da Região Carbonífera (AMREC), em Santa Catarina. A investigação teve como objetivo compreender de que maneira a adoção de tecnologias assistivas contribui para a inclusão profissional de pessoas com deficiência, considerando os limites e potencialidades das políticas públicas, das práticas organizacionais e dos direitos assegurados por marcos legais como a Lei Brasileira de Inclusão. A metodologia adotada combinou abordagem quantiqualitativa, com levantamento de dados em 40 empresas de médio e grande porte, análise documental e revisão de literatura. Os resultados indicam que, embora haja avanços normativos e relatos positivos sobre o uso da tecnologia assistiva, persistem barreiras estruturais e institucionais que limitam sua efetiva implementação, como a ausência de planejamento inclusivo e a escassez de capacitação técnica. Conclui-se que a promoção da equidade requer não apenas o cumprimento legal, mas a construção de uma cultura organizacional acessível e intersetorial. A pesquisa reafirma a relevância da tecnologia assistiva como vetor estratégico para a inclusão produtiva e para o fortalecimento da justiça social no mundo do trabalho.

  • Abstract: This article presents the results of an applied study on the use of assistive technology as a tool for promoting equity in the workplace, focusing on the region of the Associação dos Municípios da Região Carbonífera (AMREC), in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The research aimed to understand how the adoption of assistive technologies contributes to the professional inclusion of persons with disabilities, considering the limitations and potentialities of public policies, organizational practices, and the rights ensured by legal frameworks such as the Brazilian Law of Inclusion. The methodology employed combined quantitative and qualitative approaches, including data collection from 40 medium and large-sized companies, document analysis, and literature review. The findings indicate that, despite legal advancements and positive reports regarding the use of assistive technology, structural and institutional barriers persist, limiting its effective implementation, such as the lack of inclusive planning and insufficient technical training. It is concluded that promoting equity requires not only legal compliance but also the development of an accessible and intersectoral organizational culture. The research reaffirms the relevance of assistive technology as a strategic vector for productive inclusion and the strengthening of social justice in the labor market.
