A SÍFILIS E A SÍFILIS CONGÊNITA NO CENÁRIO ATUAL: UMA REVISÃO DA LITERATURA
Ainda que sejam amplamente discutidas, as Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis (IST) estão em alta e por isso, são consideradas preocupantes. Dentre todas elas, a sífilis é a que chama mais atenção, pois apresenta aumentos expressivos ano após ano, no Brasil e no mundo. Por conta disso, o principal objetivo deste trabalho foi refletir sobre a doença em si e sobre a sífilis congênita, bem como sobre seus diagnósticos, tratamentos e principais ações de prevenção. Para isso, utilizou-se uma busca por estudos que pudessem sintetizar os temas abordados em questão. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, qualitativo, do tipo revisão integrativa da literatura. Pode-se perceber que, ainda que o diagnóstico de sífilis seja simples e rápido, pouco se é observado com relação ao tratamento e continuidade de seu tratamento. Sua prevenção mais eficaz é, ainda, a utilização da camisinha durante a relação sexual. Com relação à sífilis congênita, destaca-se a importância da realização da testagem e da atenção especial aos exames e solicitações médicas, durante o período pré-natal, visando a prevenção.

Abstract:
Even though they are discussed, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) are on the rise and therefore are considered to be of concern. Among all of them, syphilis is the one that draws the most attention, as it shows significant increases year after year, in Brazil and in the world. Because of this, the main objective of this work was to reflect on the disease itself and on a congenital disease, as well as on its diagnoses, procedures and main prevention actions. For this, a search for studies that could synthesize the themes in question was used. This is a descriptive, qualitative study of the integrative literature review type. It can be seen that, although the diagnosis of syphilis is simple and quick, little is observed in relation to the treatment and continuity of its treatment. Its most effective prevention is also the use of condoms during sexual intercourse. In relation to congenital syphilis, the importance of testing and special attention to medical examinations and occurrences during the prenatal period, senior to prevention, is highlighted.
