Abstract: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach based on operant behavior principles, widely used in clinical settings and increasingly adopted in educational contexts. Its effectiveness in behavior modification enables its use in higher education as a strategy to promote study organization and academic self-management. This paper aims to discuss the relevance of ABA in fostering study organization. Specifically, it seeks to: (1) present the theoretical foundations of ABA; (2) identify effective behavioral strategies for academic self-management; and (3) reflect on the applicability of ABA in contemporary educational contexts. This is a descriptive and qualitative bibliographic review based on scientific publications from 2020 to 2024, available in databases such as Scielo, Google Scholar, and institutional repositories. The results show that techniques such as self-monitoring, positive reinforcement, behavioral contracts, and digital tools promote the development of more effective study routines. A positive association was also found between self-management practices and increased self-efficacy and student well-being. It is concluded that ABA has strong potential in educational settings, supporting the development of more autonomous and organized students.
